Artisan designer specialising in Ajrakh block print, based in Ajrakhpur, Kutch. He is a Somaiya Kala Vidya graduate from the 2015 batch.

About the Craft

AJRAKH BLOCK PRINT

Ajrakh is an ancient block printing art form known for its intricate patterns and natural dyes and involves a sixteen step process of washing, dyeing, printing, and drying. Traditionally, Ajrakh is printed with carved Wooden Blocks thumped on the fabric side by side with precision by skillfull hands.
