It all began with the pioneering whispers of a progressive educational institute that was quietly chiseling away at the artisans to evolve into designers & creative entrepreneurs with all the arsenal required: tools, design education and commerce acumen. Design Craft was created to extend the impact of Somaiya Kala Vidya’s educational model. While SKV equips artisans with the tools to innovate within their traditions, Design Craft offers a launchpad for their creative authorship. It was envisioned as a space where contemporary design meets heritage revival.
